Washington D.C.

My family (Not including dad. He had to work.) took a trip to D.C. on Thursday. Our first stop was the Newseum. It was amazing!!! It was probably the best museum I have ever been to. I will recommend this museum to everyone. It was just awesome!! After that we headed down the sidewalk to the Old Post Office. A bunch of police cars came racing by with lights on as we were walking. Then a policeman put a yellow cation strip on the sidewalk and said that we had to walk on the other side of the street. They were closing things off. We wondering aloud what the heck was going on when a man walked up and told us what was happening. The president was about to come through!!! Sweet! We were going to see the president!!! A bunch of people came out of the buildings to watch. then a policeman walked up to tell some other people something. Mom asked a man what the cop had said. He said that the cop told them to go inside the building because it was not Obama. It was a suspicious package!!!!!! So close, yet so very far away. We had to move down a bunch of blocks away. Mom wanted to stay as close as possible to the scene, but then we just decided to go down to the Old Post Office instead. We got a snack, then headed off to the Natural History Museum. We stayed there a little while, then headed off because it was getting crowded. Then it was off to the metro. We got down to the metro station when Kale informed Mom that was about to pee his pants. So we had to go up the escalator, to an info booth to find out where the nearest bathroom was, across the road, into a museum, down to the bathroom, just so Kale could do his business. Then we had to go back to the metro to catch a ride. We then stopped at Pentagon City to grab some supper. Then we headed over to Best Buy to add another cell phone to our line to keep at the house. Then we headed home. When you look back at it, it was quite an adventurous day.
